Prior to your appointment:
We recommend that you remain well hydrated prior to your appointment if possible. Your medical history will be reviewed prior to nurse arrival. You will receive a call or text when the nurse is on their way. Please allow for one hour before or after appointment time for the nurse to arrive, so book accordingly.
At your appointment:
Upon arrival, the nurse will check your vital signs. If this is your first visit, the nurse will facilitate an exam with a Practitioner to review your medical history and verify IV therapy treatment is appropriate. (This may also be done prior to the nurse arrival. ) Assessment by practitioner will be done if it has been a year since the last appointment, or for new treatment evaluation, or significant change in medical history.
Once given approval, your nurse will confirm drip choice or discuss options with you. The nurse will need to find and access a vein to secure the IV catheter. After IV access is established, administration of a liquid mixture of saline, vitamins, and minerals will be given intravenously. A connected tube delivers the solution from the drip bag into your bloodstream. This typically takes 30 minutes to 1.5 hour. NAD+ will take longer. IV catheter will be removed. Payment will be completed and you’re welcome to book your next appointment or a package at this time. Resume all normal activities feeling hydrated and refreshed!
Q: Does IV therapy hurt?
A: The Registered Nurse will insert a small needle into the arm but is typically described as a small pinch. The pain should not continue after the needle is inserted. The needle will be removed for treatment and the catheter stays in the arm.
